Who Should Use this Application?

This application is to be completed by faculty, staff, and students of the University of Michigan-Flint who intend to travel abroad for University-related purposes with two or more students. As per the SPG 601.31 on International Travel, University-related travel may include but is not limited to, study, research, internships, service, conferences/presentations, teaching, performances, or athletic competitions. The University reserves the right to prohibit or suspend travel for University-related purposes to any destination by faculty, staff, or students if significant health, safety or security concerns pose extreme risks that warrant such a decision.

Instructions on Completing this Application
  1. Review the UM-Flint Policies & Procedures for International Group Travel Programs. In addition, review any department or unit policies around international travel. Contact your Dean's office for more information on these unit policies.
  2. Submit the online Faculty/Staff M-Flint WorldLink Access Request. This will enable you to use your Uniqname and LAN password to log into WorldLink to complete the application. You will be notified when access is granted.
    • STUDENTS COMPLETING THIS FORM: You do not need to submit the above request. You can already access WorldLink with your Uniqname and LAN password.
  3. Click Apply Now below and use your UM-Flint log-in credentials to submit the application. The application includes:
    • Group Leader Agreement
    • Part 1: General Program Information
    • Part 2: Health & Safety Assessment
    • Part 3: International & Global Studies Proposal 
    • Part 4: Uploads (travel itinerary, course syllabus, & budget worksheet)
    • Signature Form
You can save your application and return to it at a later time to complete. If you are a faculty or staff and are not able to log-in, please be sure to have submitted the Faculty/Staff M-Flint WorldLink Access Request first.
