Program Description:

This is a closed program. You must be pre-selected in order to participate

Program Overview
The Tanzania trip is a field experience for students in Arusha, Tanzania with Green Hope Organization. Students will learn about the history, culture, incidence, and prevalence of common diseases, treatments, and emerging issues impacting Tanzania and the Masai tribe. Students will learn about the negative consequences of decreasing wildlife, and the public health issues facing the population.

Dr. Robert Buckingham, professor from the School of  Health Professions and Studies.

Eligibility
Students enrolled in the Fall 2018 PHS 388/588 course.

Estimated Travel Cost
Approximately $2,600. This includes: round-trip airfare to Tanzania, housing, meals, health insurance, cultural activities, transportation in Tanzania for program activities. Tuition/fees is/are separate costs assessed for Fall/2018. 


 
 

The University may at any point cancel a program due to unforeseen reasons, including but not limited to low student enrollment and health and safety concerns in the host destination.
