Kozminski University (KU)

Kozminski University, founded in 1993, is a private institution of higher education with full academic rights. The university has obtained Polish and international accreditations, as well as excellent results in global and national educational rankings which shows the high quality of its programs and services. Due to these qualities KU diplomas themselves have become coveted. The university’s offer includes various bachelor, master’s, MBA’s as well as Ph.D. programs. All of these are also offered in English.

Since 2009 Kozminski University is classified in the prestigious educational rankings provided by the ‘Financial Times’ – Business School rankings, which include the best universities from around the world. Moreover, for the past 13 consecutive years it holds first place throughout private universities in educational rankings published by ‘Perspektywy’ and ‘Rzeczpospolita’ and ‘WPROST’. Kozminski University also received a special distinction from the National Accreditation Committee in regards to the management program.

Course Registration
Students register for specified courses at UM-Flint. Students identify the courses they want to take at KU by completing a Off Campus Experience Course Approval Form with an academic advisor/dean.

Tuition & Fees
Students pay UM-Flint tuition and fees based of the number of credits of which they register.

Housing and Living Costs
The University does not have a campus dormitory, but it does assists foreign students in their housing needs. Apartments and rooms are usually rented in Warsaw through a network of agencies specializing in short term furnished accommodation or through agreements with individual landlords. Students are asked to apply for housing as soon as possible.

Students can expect to spend approximately $865 - $1,065 per month depending on accommodations and lifestyle.

  1. Check eligibility requirements and dates for the program, and review courses offered at KU
  2. Apply in WorldLink for the exchange program by clicking “Apply Now” below

  3. Meet with the academic coordinator/dean of the program (Dr. Yener Kandogan) to complete a Off Campus Experience Course Approval Form and other relevant items.

  4. Submit all requested items to the KU

  5. After you receive confirmation from KU regarding your acceptance, register for the appropriate business courses in SIS

  6. Confirm housing arrangements

  7. Apply for a student travel visa

  8. Book airline ticket

  9. Pay appropriate UM-Flint tuition/fees

  10. Travel abroad and notify the UM-Flint Education Abroad Office of your safe arrival. If you change classes while abroad, notify the appropriate UM-Flint academic coordinator

  11. At the end of the semester, request that the transcript be sent to the UM-Flint Education Abroad Office
